Stir-Fry Shrimp Ramen

This Stir-Fry Shrimp Ramen recipe is super EASY to make yet full of flavor! The marinade for the shrimp only consists of 5 ingredients (Red Onion, Smoked Paprika, Home-Made Garlic Oil, Rum and Salt/Pepper). In addition, the vegetables in this recipe is red pepper and cabbage.

What makes this recipe super delicious is the Shrimp!

Marinade Ingredients for the Shrimp:

  • 1/2 Red Onion (Julienne)
  • 2 teaspoons of Smoked Paprika (Garlic, Chili & Chives)
  • 5 teaspoons of Home-Made Garlic Oil (4-5 cloves of garlic + oil)
  • 3 teaspoons of Rum (optional). You can also use Beer or White Wine too.
  • 3 pinches of Salt/Pepper
Shrimp Marinade

Remaining Stir-Fry Shrimp Ramen Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of 21-25 black tiger shrimps (Thawed and Peeled). You can get this from Costco.
Thawed and Peeled Shrimp
Frozen Ramen
  • 1 Red Pepper (Julienne)
Red Pepper (Julienne)
  • a Handful of Cabbage (Julienne)
Cabbage (Julienne)
  • Salt/Pepper to Taste

How to make Stir-Fry Shrimp Ramen:

Start by mixing the Smoked Paprika, Garlic Oil, Red Onion, Rum and Salt/Pepper in the Shrimp. Marinade the shrimp in the fridge for an hour.

Marinade Shrimp in the Fridge

Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil. Then add in 3 pieces of frozen ramen and boil for 2-3 minutes. Check the timing on the package. This depends on the type of frozen ramen you use for this recipe. You can find the frozen ramen at most of the Asian Grocery Store.

Next, Sautee 1/4 red onion and garlic oil. Then add in the shrimp. Stir-fry the shrimp at medium high heat until fully cooked. Then remove from heat.

Stir-Fry Shrimp

Sautee some 1/4 red onion and garlic oil. And stir-fry Cabbage and Red Pepper with some Salt/Pepper to taste.

Stir-Fry Red Pepper and Cabbage

Finally, mix in the Ramen and the cooked Shrimp with its sauce at low heat.

Marinade the Shrimp:

  • Marinade the shrimp by mixing the shrimp with Shrimp Marinade Ingredients

  • Refrigerate the shrimp for an hour before cooking

Stir-Fry Shrimp:

  • Sautee 1/4 Red Onion with 2 teaspoons of Garlic Oil
  • Stir-Fry the Shrimp on medium high heat until fully cooked with 1-2 Thai chili pepper (Optional)

Stir-Fry Vegetables:

  • Sautee 1/4 Red Onion with 2 teaspoons of Garlic Oil
  • Stir-Fry the Cabbage for 2-3 minutes and then add in Red Pepper

Stir-Fry Shrimp Ramen:

  • Add in the Ramen to the Stir-Fry Vegetables
  • Mix in the cooked Shrimps with its sauce and mix well.

Tip: 
  • Don’t over stir the ramen else the noodles will break.
