This Easy Peezy Pizza is made with ONLY 6 ingredients! If you don’t like tomatoes on your pizza, this recipe is meant for you! It is made with focaccia bread, prosciutto, cheese, red onions and flavored herbal olive oil with a touch of balsamic glaze. This pizza recipe is easy, healthy and tasty!

This recipe does NOT use the traditional pizza dough. However, it uses Olive Oil & Herbs Focaccia (Fokachio). Focaccia is a type of flat Italian bread made with yeast, olive oil and flavoured with herbs. I got the Manoucher Focaccia bread from Metro Grocery store I am sure you can get the focaccia bread at any grocery store.
INGREDIENTS: EASY PEEZY PIZZA
- Olive Oil & Herbs Manoucher Fokachio Bread (you can use any kind of focaccia bread)
- Prosciutto (approx. 4-5 slices or as much as you’d like)
- Marble Cheese (Shredded)
- 1/4 Red Onion (Julienne)
- Home-Made Herbal Olive Oil
- Balsamic Glaze

HOW TO MAKE EASY PEEZY PIZZA:
Preparation:
- Start by preparing 1/4 red onion (julienne)
- Next, cut the prosciutto into smaller pieces
- Then, grate 1/2 bar of marble cheese. (enough to spread on the focaccia bread). You may used frozen shredded cheese. However, I recommend grating your own cheese as a healthier choice and it will give you a fresher and creamier taste. Frozen pre-shredded cheese contains preservatives like potato starch and natamycin which meant to keep the shreds from clumping together in the bag.

Making of the Pizza:
Firstly, preheat the oven at 425F.
Meanwhile, line the baking pan with parchmen paper.
Secondly, spread the home-made herbal olive oil evenly over the focaccia bread.
You can make this herbal olive oil at home by combining dried rosemary, thyme, parsley in olive oil. You may add a bit of garlic oil (optional). Then store the home-made herbal olive oil in the refrigerator.

Thirdly, spread the red onions (julienne) evenly across the focaccia bread.

Next, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly.

Then add the prosciutto.

Lastly, add the remainder of the shredded marble cheese on top of the prosciutto.

Put the pizza into the oven and bake for 15 minutes but make sure to watch it so it does not burn.

Finally, broil the pizza at high.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Then drizzle the balsamic glaze across the pizza. This adds sweetness to the pizza.

Notes
- Focaccia Bread is used in this recipe instead of pizza dough.
- Make sure to use the Focaccia bread on the same day or within a couple days. Else the bread may grow mould. We experieced this when we left the focaccia bread at room temperature for a week.
- Use the home-made herbal olive oil (rosemary, thyme, parsley, olive oil. garlic is optional)
- Grate the bar of cheese is fresher than using the frozen pre-shredded cheese. The frozen shredded cheese has preservatives in it.
Oh, my goodness this looks amazing! I love the idea of using a herby infused olive oil rather than a red sauce — fantastic idea!
Thank you Molly. Ya red sauce makes the pizza soggy.
That looks amazing! I love homemade pizza. I use pitta bread as a base but I need to try focaccia, as it looks so tasty.
Thank you for stopping by 🙂 pitta bread is quite similar. you will like the pizza with focaccia.
That looks so good! I bet focaccia tastes incredible as a pizza base x
